LÏEF came directly out of the wreck of Aycre Capital. I had just spent fourteen months running the capital side of a Las Vegas fund, and shopping a spinoff concept in Phoenix is how I met Jon Armstrong, whose company became LÏEF's construction partner. I also decided I never again wanted to depend on a technical partner I had not vetted myself. So I built LÏEF with every discipline under one roof, we draw it, we build it, we own it, with my partner Jon Armstrong running the general contractor side through his own licensed company. Our first real project is turning a 1971 office tower in Midtown Phoenix into residences, and I run the entire pre development process in house instead of paying outside architects hundreds of thousands of dollars to do work I can control myself. Every hard lesson from Tellus and from Aycre is built into how this company is structured. That is exactly why I trust it more than anything I have built before.
