What it is
A business brokerage working several markets ran its inbox and its buy-side search by hand. Brokers spent hours a week sorting mail, and the work of finding acquisition targets and keeping buyers informed was slow and unpolished.
The decision
Zen Aegis put the engine into production first and built the application on top of it, so the brokerage was getting value from the agents before any screen existed.
The agents run on infrastructure dedicated to this one client, isolated from every other client.
What Zen Aegis did
- Deployed five named agents on dedicated, isolated infrastructure.
- Built email triage that stages draft replies for a person to send.
- Stood up a dedicated chat operations instance for the team.
- Built a buy-side acquisition flow and a Tier-1 support runbook.
- Built Acquire Desk, a buy-side deal-origination application for relationship management, target identification and client collaboration, on top of the live engine.
- Ran it as a fixed-fee proof of concept.
Results
- 71.3 inbox hours reclaimed in seven days.
- 1,851 emails triaged to date, about 855 a week, with 84 percent meeting their response target.
- 17 active buy-side engagements and 34 off-market prospects sourced.
- The engine is live and serving a paying client; the application layer on top is young.
