What Zen Aegis is
Zen Aegis began in 2023 as a consulting business, grew into a fractional leadership firm and is now an AI transformation partner. It builds custom AI agent systems inside a client’s business, operates them, and stays embedded until the results are real. It runs its own company on the same infrastructure it deploys for clients.
Robby Prochnow founded it and leads it. Before Zen Aegis he spent more than a decade running technology businesses inside large distributors and a global internet-services company; his record is on his page.
How it works
A working prototype first. The signature offer is a free working prototype built on the client’s own workflow before the client pays. The company’s own line for it: “We’ll build it before you buy it.”
Self-hosted, one client per boundary. Nothing about a client’s prompts, outputs, credentials or content leaves the boundary. Each client is isolated at the infrastructure layer, with its own host, its own secrets vault, its own tracing and its own set of tool servers. See Guardrails for a self-hosted agent platform and the story Keeping the prompts inside the walls.
Agent teams with a person at the gate. Zen Aegis runs teams of named agents, each with its own lane. Work that has to come out the same way every time runs as a fixed workflow; agents do the reasoning; a person approves before anything is sent. Every agent session is saved to a private, versioned record that the next session reads first. No AI claim ships without a source that can be checked live.
The standard. Everything it builds is held to five commitments: governed, secured, compounding, watched and measured. On compliance it says exactly this and no more: it builds HIPAA-compliant systems, runs on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure and builds to GDPR practice.
Products
- Foyer Hall: a white-label client portal and data room with signatures, files, invoices and an agent interface. Common Ground’s first client room runs on it.
- Slipstream: a search and AI-visibility workspace that pairs Common Ground’s audit method with an automated scoring and monitoring engine.
- Aegis Lens: a diagnostic that runs inside a client’s environment, collects the facts itself and ranks findings with evidence. A prototype on sample data, ready to show.
- Grant Match AI: a public grant-matching engine for nonprofits.
- Acquire Desk: buy-side deal origination, live for a business brokerage.
- Everstead: a personal development app for web and mobile, labeled a prototype. It writes a custom meditation of up to 20 minutes, ready to play within seconds, and offers a council of coaches for training, mindfulness and work.
- An agent skill library of 89 versioned, owner-attributed, security-reviewed skills, a reporting layer over its core data, a dashboard for running an agent workforce, and an agency back office still at prototype.
Zen Aegis is also building a standalone AI agent platform, not yet shipping. Common Ground’s own client tool set is described on the Kinwork page.
How it came into Common Ground
Robby Prochnow met the Common Ground partners in March 2026 and started the way he starts with any client: an audit of each partner’s technology, delivered in April with recorded walkthroughs. Since May 2026 he has run technology for the group. Common Ground’s first client room runs on Foyer Hall, Slipstream pairs the group’s search method with his platform, and the group is moving its own work onto the Zen Aegis agent team. Work Zen Aegis did for clients before and alongside Common Ground is listed below by description, never by client name: that is the company’s standing rule.
