Overview

Kinwork is the name Common Ground gives to the set of tools it runs its own engagements on and offers to clients. Every tool was used inside the group’s own companies before it was sold to anyone, which is the standing claim behind the group’s results-based model. The suite is created and operated by Common Ground; each tool can be white-labeled for a client.

The tools

Foyer Hall: client portal and data room

A branded portal per client engagement: a files tab, a chat tab, and up to four custom pages such as an overview and forecast, deals, a data room, client updates, billing and people. Pages are versioned and stay hidden from the client until published. On the firm side it gives Common Ground one cockpit for every client: snapshot tiles, a forward look at recurring charges and a client-health table. The first client workspace was stood up in September 2026.

Slipstream: search, generative-engine and answer-engine visibility

A scoring engine that audits how a site shows up in search, in AI answer engines and in language-model retrieval, then drives the fixes. It grew out of the generative engine optimization standard Common Ground authored in June 2026 and deployed across its portfolio, and the engine was validated against a hand audit of ten sites across sixteen check types before it was named. Search, generative-engine and language-model visibility is now built into every Common Ground product and into every one of its first clients this year. The product name is under review; Slipstream is the working name.

Aegis Lens: environment audit

An audit of a company’s systems, accounts and automations: what is running, what it costs, what is exposed and what should be consolidated. It is the first step before Common Ground installs anything.

How it fits

Kinwork sits behind the group’s engagements rather than in front of them: the portal carries the engagement, the visibility service makes the client findable, and the audit tells the team where to start. Internal tooling beyond these three, from the CRM to analytics and the agent framework the team trains in its own domains, stays inside the group.

Where we use it

Our own ventures live in Kinwork before a client does. LÏEF Midtown, Kanopi and Rooted in Health each run a data room on the same frame a client gets, and the visibility engine grew out of a standard we wrote for our own sites in June 2026 before it was ever offered outside the group. The systems audit is the standing first step before any new tool goes in, ours or a client’s, which is why we can tell a client where to start: we started there too.
