What it is
Drive for the Dream is a docuseries concept about golfers on the mini tours, the lowest professional tier, as they chase a place on the PGA Tour. The concept was Jesse Fowler's and Hunter Schwartz's. Khounlavong was in it from the beginning, on the apparel first, and stayed on as a thought partner. The Common Ground wiki records that Fowler set the concept, formed the entity, wrote the structure and ran the partner relationships. Khounlavong is the venture's creative director. His venture file lists him as a principal with responsibility for brand, visual identity and content strategy. It lists Hunter Schwartz as a principal for golf access and athlete relationships, and Ed Winters with Ashley Avis for investment and the executive producer search.
The same file names the problem from the investor's side. Most unscripted sports pitches arrive with a sizzle reel and "no brand system, no visual identity, no proof that the team can execute at broadcast quality". The brand was built to answer that.
The pitch treatment is a 13-page file named for Winterstone Pictures, version 11, from October 2023. The file carries no author. The wiki records that the studio built the show's identity and pitch deck, the management company's deck and the sponsor collateral.
What Khounlavong did
- Built the show identity. The logo file is dated November 13, 2023. The studio's logo folder holds four versions, a short mark and a full wordmark, each in black and in white.
- Set the voice and the tagline: "The Underdog Chronicler" and "Chase The Dream".
- Designed a player color system, in files dated February 12, 2026. It is not yet deployed, because the show has not been picked up. Each of eight players owns one neon color across every touchpoint. Cyan is kept for the show itself and is not used for player content.
- Set the base look as warm golden-hour tones, so the neon colors stand out against them. Player names sit on a neon brush stroke, with black text for readability on television.
- Chose the type: Bebas Neue for titles, Inter for body text and statistics, and a serif italic for quotes.
- Defined the audience as entertainment investors, executive producers and production company decision-makers, not fans.
- Wrote a content plan of five pillars for that audience: the untold story, format validation, the visual proof, the team and player previews.
- Wrote the brand into a standing visual standard, with formats, safe zones and file types, so the same system carries from social posts to the pitch deck.
Where it stands
- The wiki states it plainly: "Nothing is placed yet with a platform."
- Khounlavong's venture file records that content and active development were paused on April 7, 2026, while the capital raise and the executive producer search continued.
- The wiki records that the venture moved to a sponsorship-only model on April 10, 2026.
- His file marks the brand identity as locked and the player color system as designed. No audience or revenue result is documented for the brand work.
