What it is
Khounlavong grew up in Ashland, Kentucky. He went to work at The Finish Line, a mall based athletic footwear retailer, at the age of 16, and stayed until he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1999. He has described the start as the stock room of his local sneaker store.
He held two roles at two stores. He was a sales associate in Ashland from 1993 to 1997, and an assistant manager in Lexington from 1997 to 1999.
What Khounlavong did
