What it is
Jason Scott is a luxury menswear brand from a designer, not yet in market. The documents lock the category as luxury menswear. The product and the mill relationships were strong. There was no model behind the plan that started from a single unit and built up.
The lanes were locked on July 3, 2026. Khounlavong held merchandising, business planning and door mapping. Go-to-market was shared, since the buy plan sets what the market is offered. Jesse Fowler ran the client relationship, built the data rooms, set up the vendor and the purchase order, held all capital work with Prince Capital, and wrote the investor memo. The founder held the product, the factories and the brand identity.
Financial figures exist in the working files. None is printed here.
What Khounlavong did
- Built the buy plan as a workbook of 29 tabs, with AI assistance. The tabs include an attribute master, a size curve, a door master, a launch roadmap, an assortment master for each year, a sell-through plan, a channel rollup and a sanity check.
- Modeled the workbook on merchandising templates he brought from his own career: a style-level buy plan sheet and a futures comparison tool.
- Took the plan from a 19 tab baseline in early June 2026 to 29 tabs by July 8, 2026, with written change logs along the way.
- Attended the June 12, 2026 meeting with the founder and Fowler, which ran on a five-point agenda prepared in advance. The log records that the meeting moved the work from introduction to working mechanics.
- Wrote the team brief, the program board and the handoff note for the capital lane.
Results
- A buy plan of 29 tabs exists.
- The engagement paused in July 2026. The wiki gives price and scope as the reason.
- An investor site was planned as the next step.
