Updated September 2026

We had a small patio renovation at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Beach. Access and staging were the whole problem. Our materials sat deep in a cordoned-off corner of the valet lot.

We worked in the middle of the night and moved everything along the service paths, never the direct route, so no guest ever saw a crew.

It is always about the guest. You just trade off time. The service path is long, it takes more time, and you accept that because the guest experience is the product.

No complaints, paid on time, no holdback. You can tell a job went badly when the owner tries to keep your retention. There was none of that.

On an occupied luxury site, trade time for invisibility, and judge the job by whether the owner pays without a fight.
